Freeport McMoRan UX/UI Testing
One of the most meaningful experiences in my UX career was redesigning a legacy internal tool used daily by field technicians at Freeport McMoran. The original interface was cluttered, slow, and failed to reflect the technicians' real-world workflows.
Rather than relying solely on stakeholder feedback, I observed technicians in their work environments. Through those direct interactions, we uncovered pain points that weren’t on the radar—like how glove-wearing made certain touchscreen gestures difficult or how poor signal strength affected load times in remote areas.
By incorporating these insights into the design, we delivered a streamlined, responsive interface that reduced task time by over 40% and significantly improved adoption rates. It was a powerful reminder that truly impactful design starts with empathy and ends with

real-world usability.
With a background in filmmaking, I often incorporate video into the user testing process to capture authentic interactions and gather deeper behavioral insights. During a project focused on designing tools for miners, I developed a strong rapport with the users, allowing me to understand their professional and personal needs.
Mining is an inherently dangerous occupation, where a moment’s distraction can have serious consequences. Our design solutions prioritized safety while enhancing productivity—delivering tools that increased efficiency without compromising the well-being
