TotalVote is a comprehensive, all-access application that empowers Election Directors to manage every stage of the election process—from voter registration and same-day registration to ballot processing. As the preferred solution for jurisdictions seeking a unified election management system, TotalVote delivers flexibility and scalability. Guided by Lean UX practices, our team collaborated closely with voters, temporary staff, and election officials to co-create an experience that genuinely met their diverse needs. We conducted iterative design sessions and usability testing to ensure the platform was intuitive, efficient, and adaptable. Understanding that states value identity and branding, we built in customizable theming—allowing clients to choose their own colors and align the interface with official seals and visual standards. By implementing global styles with modular overrides, we struck the balance between consistency and customization, putting control directly in the hands of election directors.
